Dr. P's

Today, has been a very special day.

Why?

1) Becky's Bridals-- First one down. Ewww..
2) New outfit!!3) Roommate lunch date at Wingers
4) PROMOTION!!!
5) I. Am. Dying. My. Hair. For reals.

So why is this post entitled "Dr. P's"? Here is why. Right now, Heather and I are sitting in Dr. Parkinson's dermitology office. Because she drove, and had to go to work for an hour. So here we are. We are all sitting in different cubbies facebooking whilst Jasmine calls patients and sets up appointments. This is how it goes:

"Hi this is Jasmine at Doctor Parkinson's office, I'm just calling to confirm Derp/Derpina's appointment at (time) on (date). (Pause.) Ok, thank you, have a great day."

Over. And over. And over. And then she gets off the phone and grumbles about people's random questions they have and how she can't answer them because all she does is make the phone calls.

And then there's Heather. She is somewhere off to my right. And she's basically silent except for the random giggles she creates while surfing facebook and pinterest. This is our lives. We do this even at home. Sit on our laptops watching Netflix ont he wii and giggling over stuff on 9gag. Whoop Whoop!

Let's talk about my HAIR, shall we?? Soon, the "average redhead" will be much MUCH less red. I am dying it into an OMBRE!! So, let's throw a dash of light caramel and blonde in there, shall we?? I have no boy to impress anymore. So, it won't be that heartbreaking if it totally screws over my lucious locks. I'm hoping for the best.

And here's the happy moment of the day:

Jason Segel... You make me so happy. :) Same with you, Walter.

Please Meet Stuart.

Dear Boyfriend;

Valentines day could not have been more absolutely fantastic. :D

Love, Sarah.

Ok, I know this is REALLY late. But I've just barely logged back into my blog. I felt like it needed some lovin. So please, let me give you a glimpse of the amazingness that is my relationship. For valentines day (actually, a couple of weeks before) Tyler, who knows me better than any other living person on the face of the earth decided to send me an INCREDIBLY oversized box that I waited ALL day for and finally, 10 minutes before I had to leave for work, it showed up. And inside this very LARGE box, there was......................................

This giraffe. He is 5 feet tall. And his name is Stuart. Needless to say, I had to stop myself from bawling like a total idiot in front of my boyfriend (thank you Skype..). He lives in my room, and my dad hides him while I'm at work. It's made me scream on a few occasions when I've literally RUN into him turning a corner. Or opening a door. It's great.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!

Tyler and I ALSO had a Skype date on the magical day of Love. :) Gosh that boy is just so... CUTE. So, here I am, just happy to be able to Skype with him while he's thousands of miles away, when he whips out a guitar! (Mind you, he's been joking about learning to play the guitar for like.. 3 months now!) So I, in shock, just sit there with my mouth open, and he starts to play our song! :D (Stuck Like Glue- Sugarland) Yeah. If I thought I had to hold back tears when Stuart came to live with me, this was about 20 times worse. There are not words to describe how much I love this boy. I couldn't do anything except sit there grinning and blushing with the cuteness of it all. If you've never had the love of your life sing to you before, you should try it. :) It's kind of amazing.

(You have to understand... The music video only makes it more amazing that this is what we chose for our song. And.... Come to think of it... no one ever chose :P It's just kinda... US!)

And that... That was my Love Day. :) He got my package 2 weeks later :P filled with valentines, chocolate, movies to keep him entertained, and a teddy bear that smelled like me :P Aaaaah... can't wait for him to come home. One month, one week, one day. :D

It's Like a Journal.....

I've decided that blogging is the equivalence of journal writing. You get REALLY excited about it in the beginning and vow to do it at least once a week, maybe even twice if you feel like it. But then the Blogging Goggles wear off, and it becomes a chore that never gets accomplished. Here's a shout-out to my journal that I haven't written in since... Oh gosh... Last spring! Maybe we'll do better.

So, for my journal that never gets written in (or my blog...) Let's go over the highlights of the last few months!

1) Audios, Cold Stone! Hello, Cafe Zupas!
Well, at least I don't come home smelling like ice cream and the grease trap, OR covered in fudge/caramel/anything else that finds me... I really enjoy Zupas. :) The people that work there are about a thousand times happier and friendlier than they were at Cold Stone, so it's been quite a bit easier adjusting and getting to know them. Plus, half off Zupas before, during, and after a shift? Um... Hello, joy! It's nice to see you!

2) Tyler Went to Mexico
No big deal.... :/ It's been quite an experience, let me tell you. Long distance SUCKS. Thank heaven for Skype and Facebook. His mission is going to be the death of me. But I'm so proud of him for deciding to do this :) The experience is going to help him so much on his mission. And now he's even more fluent in Spanish. Congrats, kid. So, now I go to school and work, and he teaches English :) But, to entertain ourselves, we set up a blog just for us because we got sick of sharing things with each other on Facebook, because EVERYONE can see them. Makes it less happy.

3) Doterra??
It's true. I MIGHT be working for Doterra soon. I had an interview with them last week, then got a call a day later asking me to come in and meet for a second interview with the General Managers. CROSS YOUR FINGERS!!! Getting this job could make the difference of my finally being independent, or living off my parents for ANOTHER year. :/ Here's to hopin!!

4) Human Sexuality
I don't think I will ever take another class in college that I love as much as this one. Totally worth getting up at 7:30 to get ready on a SATURDAY morning for. Best 2 1/2 hours I spend during the week. :P Clair is awesome, and as awkward as the subject matter sounds, it's freakin awesome. Freaking out Tyler with my knowledge is my new favorite game. :D

Aaaand... In all honesty, that's really all that's happened in the last few months. So, there you go, Journal and Blog. You've been paid attention to once more.

Love, Sarah.

"Lucky I'm In Love With My Best Friend"

Today it has officially been 11 months since Tyler and I became a "facebook official" couple. :P Technically it's been a year since I decided I wanted to date him. Though he will argue that it's still 3 weeks to the day he actually asked me.. and I said no. Sooorry hunnie... :P But hey! You won, right? ;)

Highlights of the last 11 months:
~ That time we went to Macey's and Tyler had to buy the brownies he knocked off the table.
~ Watching the rain from the Pavillion at the park
~ "Hunnie, look, it's our star!"
~ Star Gazing
~ Prom <3
~ The phone call I got at 12:30 this morning
~ ever day of the last 11 months. :)

It honestly doesn't feel like it's been 11 months. It feels much more like 3 or 4. Tyler went from being my friend's boyfriend, to the friend that asked me to Homecoming, to the best friend I've ever had, to the person I care about most in the world. It's hard to believe that I'm dating someone who I don't argue with (often. And never over something earth shattering.), who still knows how to surprise me, who I could never get sick of... :) He's my best friend.

And this is the song of the day. :)

So what, may you be asking, are Ty and I planning on doing to celebrate this momentus day? Well. Thanks to my random urges to go on adventures, we are going up the canyon, either taking food with us or making quesadillas on a camping stove, playing frisbee/connect 4/ whatever else I decide to bring, watching the stars because you can actually SEE them, and possibly dance just the two of us. :) I love this boy. Tyler, thanks for supporting me and my random need to do something different and exciting. :)

Sitting In Kayla's Biology Class

I think my brain has turned to mush. But seriously. This is what I get for saying yes to a late shift at work today... Hanging out at the University until I have to go to work. Which means, tagging along with Kayla to her class because I don't do well by myself... here's what I've done while Kayla learned what Photosynthasis is:
  1. finished my last two packets from Astronomy (Oooh... Slacker. I know.)
  2. Looked up the Disney College Program (I might be working at Disney Land. Watch out.)
  3. Endorsed my paycheck. Thank  you UVU for having a branch right downstairs.
  4. Checked Facebook
  5. Wished I had service in this classroom...
This is why I shouldn't bring my laptop to class. I lose focus. And then I remember that this isn't even my class. I'm just here. And that in MY classes, two of my professors don't allow laptops, one doesn't care WHAT you do, as long as you pass the tests and turn in the homework, and one is WAAY to entertaining to even touch anything electronic. Man, do I have it made. :)

Aaaand there's still half an hour left in this class. Yay. I've never been happier that I'm not taking Biology in my life. (And then I remember that I pretty much HAVE to in order to graduate... Yay.) I do like that her professor has a microphone though. And he's not obnoxious like my History professor is. So far he's getting an A. Ok. Off to netflix to watch videos now. :)

Bill Nye The Science Guy

Guess What Today Is???
Today is the day that my childhood hero (and Jr High/High School science entertainer) comes to my university. BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY!! (You're all saying "Science RULES." in your heads right now, huh? It's ok. So did I.) I can't even describe to you my level of excitement. Even the 3 year old girl sitting in front of me understands how exciting this is. Kayla saved me a seat and told me she was watching Bill Nye on her dad's iPad, then turned around with huge eyes going "Bill Nye......!" Awesome. My children will be that cool.

Bill Nye starts in 13 minutes. I really can't wait. Oh, by the way, this brings the Tyler/Sarah school competition to: Sarah 3 Tyler 1/2. Actually, bump that up. Sarah 5 Tyler 1/2. Kayla reminded me that we kyak in our fountains and have drive in movies. State school over private school, competition rocked.

Remember those days in the 90's when PBS would play Bill Nye and you'd sit there and freak out over the experiments? Then when the show was over you'd run upstairs to tell Mom everything you learned and try the experiments for yourself? But you'd never get it right? Yeeeeaah... And then you "grew up" and Bill Nye wasn't cool anymore because they made you watch him in your science class when your teacher didn't want to teach? I'm sorry, Bill. I will never sin again. Because today, a lifelong dream is being fulfilled. And you are standing less than 25 feet away from me. In all your Bill Nye glory. And my life is complete.

Growing Up means..........
~ Drooling over attractive men in movies
~ Attending college classes then skipping them (Kayla. Tyler. Shame.)
~ Getting overly excited about a lecture at college (BILL BILL BILL BILL!)
~ Loving everthing about life. :)

It's the College Life For Me!

UVU and I have recently become very good friends. The kind of friends that damage one another's souls and leaves you crying, that is... :/ Oh, college.... I'm not gonna lie, it's awesome. I get there early in the morning and finish before noon. Take that High School. That's right. You're all just having lunch by then, and I'm DONE so HA! (Yes, Tyler, I am aware that you had that schedule after Wrestling was over... You suck. :P)
Anywho. I've discovered that College classes are not quite all they've been talked up to be. Thank you again, High School, for making me overly freaked out over my future. I've got another 2 1/2 semesters before that kind of inpending doom looms over my head. Bachelors Degree... Not excited for you. Who knew I'd be spending 3 years in LITERATURE classes??? Oh wait. English Major. Riiiiight...

I've also come to realize the magic that is the Losee Center. 2 hours between classes+Dracula+REALLY comfy armchairs= Best 2 hours spent every other day. Also made better by chatting with Holly, Kayla, Alex, and sometimes Mike or Austin. I like to call it "Advanced High School." :) But it's still fun. Other fun times include: Drive in Movies, green pancakes on Wednesdays, chatting with my MARRIED friends (oye.), BILL NYE THE SCIENCE GUY (Tomorrow!! Eeee!! Does BYU have Bill Nye? No. Sarah 1, Tyler 1/2.), Charmed in the Library (plus donuts!), planning camping trips then remembering BYU doesn't have a fall break (Sarah 2 Tyler 1/2.), and walking around campus being attacked by people I never see anywhere else. :) Life is good.

UVU I'm glad we're friends. :)
